The Dallas Mavericks, having already lost two key free agents, started to fill the voids Friday by signing free agent forward Brandan Wright, a former lottery pick.
Terms of the deal are not yet known. Wright is in Dallas and participated in the team's first practice Friday afternoon, a Mavs official said.
Wright, a 6-foot-10, 210-pound forward is a former first round draft pick (eighth overall), but his career has been beset by injuries and has yet to live up to his draft position.
