Former Dallas Cowboy Herschel Walker defeated Scott Carson in a first-round TKO for his second career mixed martial arts win Saturday on the Strikeforce card in San Jose, Calif.

Walker, 48, threw 58 shots and landed 40 overall before the fight was stopped at 3:13 of the first round.

In the main event, welterweight champion Nick Diaz defeated Evangelista Santos by second-round submission.
