About the Stars

The Stars (24-21-2) are coming off a 5-2 loss at Minnesota on Saturday. They head into their final game before the All-Star break on a five-game winless streak (0-4-1), and are looking to head into the break on a positive note.

“It’s huge. We are in a spot where we really want one. It’s been a while,” said defenseman Alex Goligoski. “Morale is still OK in here and a win going into the break would feel really good. “

Center Mike Ribeiro, who has missed the last seven games with a knee injury, was activated off IR on Monday. Stars captain Brenden Morrow (neck) was placed on IR. LW Matt Fraser, called up from Texas of the AHL on Sunday, is expected to make his NHL debut Tuesday.

Injuries: C Mike Ribeiro (knee) is probable. C Jamie Benn (appendectomy) and LW Brenden Morrow (neck) are out.

About the Ducks

“Anyone who's been here has known that we've started slow in a lot of years and this is the worst,” Anaheim center Ryan Getzlaf said. “But we've just got to keep playing. Every day is a new day for us and a new day that we can play and try and get back in this thing.”
