Game summary: Calgary 3, Dallas (SO)

The Dallas Stars fell 3-2 in a shootout to the Calgary Flames on Thursday night at American Airlines Center. Alex Tanguay scored with 1:21 left in regulation to tie the game for the Flames and then scored the only goal of the shootout. Mike Ribeiro and Brenden Morrow scored for the Stars. Kari Lehtonen made 31 saves. The Stars, who have picked up points in 14 of their last 16 games (11-2-3) moved into a tie with Detroit for first place in the Western Conference.
