Benn, Wandell doubtful for Wednesday

Dallas Stars forwards Jamie Benn and Tom Wandell both are listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Edmonton Oilers, according to coach Marc Crawford. Today was a travel day for the Stars and they arrived back in Dallas late this afternoon.

"There's nothing new with them. They are probably out for tomorrow," Crawford said. "We just landed, so they had a four-hour flight. We'll see where they are tomorrow. I'd say doubtful. That's pretty much all I've got for you right now."

Both players were injured in the second period of last night's game in Vancouver. Wandell was hit hard behind the Dallas net early in the period by Vancouver forward Aaron Volpatti. Benn was injured later in the period when he collided in the neutral zone with Canucks defenseman Alex Edler.

Defenseman Jeff Woywitka who has missed the last two games with a shoulder problem will be evaluated tomorrow as well.

"We'll see tomorrow morning how he is," said Crawford. "He is a possibility, but we'll be careful too."

Crawford said Kari Lehtonen will start in goal on Wednesday.
