About the Stars

The Stars lost 3-1 at Los Angeles Saturday, extending their winless streak to six games (0-3-3). The Stars are five points out of a playoff spot with five games to go.

“We’ve probably got to win out to have a chance,” said Stars defenseman Alex Goligoski. “We’ve got five games and need to take them one at a time.”

The Stars are 1-5-3 in their last eight games.

Injuries: F Adam Burish (leg) is doubtful. D Nicklas Grossman (knee) and F Brian Sutherby (back) are out.

About the Ducks

The Ducks had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 loss at San Jose Saturday. The Ducks had a 2-0 lead after one period, but San Jose scored two in the second and then won it on a late power play goal.

"We're going to have play a full 60 minutes against a team like that," Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf said. "We were unable to do that tonight."

The Ducks lost defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky to an upper body injury late in the third period when he was hit into the boards by Sharks defenseman Douglas Murray.

Injuries: G Jonas Hiller (vertigo) is out.
