Streaks end for Elvis Andrus, Nelson Cruz

SAN FRANCISCO -- Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus and outfielder Nelson Cruz had a 12-game hitting streaks coming into Game 2 of the World Series.

But Andrus went 0-for-3 with a walk and Cruz was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, ending both streaks. So where does that put them on the all-time list? They are tied for the third-longest streak to start a postseason career in MLB history. The list:

Marquis Grissom (Atlanta): 15 in 1995-96

Greg Luzinski (Philadelphia): 13 in 1976, 77, 78, 80

Darin Erstad (Anaheim): 12 in 2002
