Yu Darvish's next start pushed to Friday

The Rangers will use Monday's off day as an opportunity to give Yu Darvish some extra rest.

Darvish was scheduled to start Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks but will instead pitch Friday vs. the Houston Astros. (Tickets are going fast, by the way).

Darvish struggled with his control in his last start, allowing six walks and a season-high six runs in 5 1/3 innings in a 7-1 loss to the Oakland A's. He has lost his last two starts and three of his last four.

The change in the rotation sets up Colby Lewis to start Tuesday's series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Rangers Ballpark, with Matt Harrison and Scott Feldman starting the final two games of the series.

Alexi Ogando will make his first start of the season Sunday.
