ARLINGTON, Texas -- It's Friday and that means time for the weekly Texas Rangers stock report.

STOCK UP:

Alex Rios. The outfielder continues to be the most consistent offensive producer, leading the Rangers in batting average among the regular starters. Rios is in the top-10 in the AL in batting average (.321) and has a team-high nine multi-hit games. He had an eight-game hitting streak that included most of this week and hit .355 (11-for-31) with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs in that span.

Robinson Chirinos. During the last week, the catcher had a career-high five-game hitting streak, batting .313 during it. He's reached safely in 13 of his last 17 games and has hit .270 in his last 10 games to bump his average up to .232.

Matt Harrison. The left-handed starter made his first appearance in a big league game in more than a year. And he pitched well, giving the Rangers a quality start in a no-decision. It's a big addition to the rotation.

STOCK DOWN:

Elvis Andrus. Maybe an off day can help the shortstop get going. He had no hits during the three-game series with the A's and has one hit in his last 28 at-bats. Andrus is batting just 1-for-19 with runners in scoring position.

Top-2 pitchers. Remember, this is a weekly report. Because of that, Yu Darvish and Martin Perez appear in it after struggling starts against the A's. The pitchers lasted a combined eight innings in their starts, both losses. Darvish allowed four runs in 3 1/3 innings, the shortest outing of his career. Perez gave up eight runs in 4 2/3 innings, ending his scoreless inning streak at 26.

Homers. The lack of homers, actually. The Rangers haven't shown the power that they thought they'd have, at least not yet. Texas has 14 home runs this season, second-fewest in the AL. Only Kansas City has fewer.
