ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rangers starter Brandon Webb said he threw 65 pitches Thursday and felt good.
It was a significant turn for the Rangers right hander, who will start the season on the DL with shoulder soreness.
"Location was much better and we figured something out, we moved the catcher over a little bit, to get my sights over on the other side of the plate," Webb said. "Breaking ball and changeup were good, movement was excellent. It was good, the best one so far."
Webb most likely will pitch a simulated game on Monday and possibly have a minor league stint in Double-A Frisco. Webb said he will throw some today with a longer session Saturday.
It appears Webb could be ready to go in May.
Also, RHP Scott Feldman, on the DL with a knee injury, said he will throw about 40 pitches Saturday.
