ARLINGTON -- The Rangers activated Nelson Cruz off the disabled list. They sent Craig Gentry back to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Cruz returns after straining his left hamstring and going on the disabled list May 29. He rehabbed in Oklahoma City and was pronounced ready to play. Cruz strained his right hamstring earlier this season and spent just a little more than 15 days on the DL then.

He'll be batting sixth in the lineup tonight vs. the Pirates.
