HOUSTON -- The Denver Broncos turned back the clock a bit Saturday for at least one team meeting.
When storms rolled through the Houston area, power went out at the team’s hotel in the Galleria area of the city. It meant for one of the team’s morning meeting that the players made their way down the stairs and the work was done by candlelight.
The fire department was called to the building as a precaution when a fire alarm went off as well. But the power eventually came back on and it was business as usual for the remainder of the day.
Because of the noon kickoff in Houston the Broncos had arrived in town Friday night. It is the only game the Broncos will play during the regular season in that time slot.
