Packers-Vikings NFC North showdown flexed into prime time

The NFC North title game has been moved to prime time.

The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings' regular-season finale at Lambeau Field on Sunday was flexed into the prime-time spot. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Although both teams already have clinched playoff spots, it will determine the division champion.

The winner will be the No. 3 seed in the NFC playoff and will open the playoffs at home on wild-card weekend. The loser will go on the road. It's possible the two teams could meet again in the wild-card round.

The Packers could have won the division on Sunday had they beaten the Arizona Cardinals and the Vikings lost to the New York Giants. But as soon as the Cardinals blew out the Packers 38-8, it set up the division title showdown in Week 17.

“We have the opportunity to play our division opponent there in Minnesota and we’ll go out and win the game,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said after Sunday’s loss.
