Narbonne’s win over Long Beach Poly gets us scrambling for the state record book because it’s the first shutout of the Jackrabbits in nearly 20 years. No. 24 Central of Fresno hangs on at home on Saturday with highest-ranked team to fall being No. 12 Oceanside.

Note: This shutout is the first one suffered by Long Beach Poly in 225 games. We just happened to have researched this state record category on Thursday. Poly had not been shut out since 1995. It was the fourth-longest current such streak in the state and one of the longest in state history. Nevada Union of Grass Valley, which lost on Friday, did score 28 points and has scored in 326 straight games since 1984. It is an ongoing state record.
