Sources: Nets get permission to speak with Rockets executive Gersson Rosas

HOUSTON -- The Brooklyn Nets have received permission to interview Houston Rockets executive vice president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas, according to multiple sources.

The Nets have a vacancy after GM Billy King was moved to an advisory role last month after spending five and half seasons on the job. Rosas, who declined comment, has been with the Rockets for over 10 seasons in various positions.

He left the Rockets briefly in the summer of 2013 to become the GM of the Dallas Mavericks, but returned to Houston in October 2013.
