The Houston Texans' two Pro Bowl representatives are settling in quite nicely in Hawaii. Receiver DeAndre Hopkins and long snapper Jonathan Weeks shared their views as they got to Hawaii yesterday for their first Pro Bowl trips.
The weather in Houston is mild this week, but there aren't any views like the ones taken by Hopkins and Weeks.
Weeks was a "need" position selection, which means the Green Bay Packers coaching staff selected him. It's a deserving nod given how consistent he has been for the Texans. A long snapper's impact goes unnoticed unless he does something wrong, and Weeks rarely does.
Weeks and Hopkins are among three Texans Pro Bowl selections. Defensive end J.J. Watt was also selected, but he is rehabbing from groin surgery he had on December 13. Left tackle Duane Brown was a first alternate, but he is also recovering from surgery. Brown suffered a torn quad tendon in the Texans' final regular-season game.
