HOUSTON -- Observed and heard in the locker room after the Houston Texans' 17-6 win over Washington.
Asked if the Texans could win the AFC South just one season after finishing last, receiver Andre Johnson answered in his soft-spoken manner: "Yeah, there's no doubt in my mind about it."
D.J. Swearinger didn't agree with the roughing the passer penalty called on him during the third quarter. I asked about the revenge of the Texans recovering a fumble on the next play, and he channeled his inner Rasheed Wallace. "The ball doesn't lie," Swearinger said.
Rookie running back Alfred Blue couldn't contain his grin as he walked out of the locker room. He left clutching the football he scored with after blocking a punt by Washington's Tress Way. "He kicked it into my hand," Blue said.
