HOUSTON -- The trouble with Thursday night games is that it can take that long for a player's body to just get back to normal.
Cornerback Elbert Mack used the phrase "walking wounded" when talking about NFL players the Monday after a Sunday game, especially one that went to overtime as the Houston Texans' did last weekend.
They know this, too -- it's just something they have to deal with, something every NFL player has to handle at some point during the season.
The Texans had long walk-throughs this week. If they had conducted regular practices, the number of players missing those practices would have been high. Today, we get the injury report. Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney and cornerback Darryl Morris are out, as expected. Receiver Andre Johnson is questionable, though I'll bet he plays.
