Vincent Brown adds to Colts' WR competition

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts are making the receiver position more competitive, signing former Oakland Raiders receiver Vincent Brown on Tuesday.

Brown was originally drafted in the third round by the San Diego Chargers in 2011. An ankle injury caused him to miss the 2012 season. Brown had 60 receptions for 801 yards and three touchdowns in the two seasons he played with San Diego. He only played seven games last season with the Raiders, finishing with 12 receptions for 118 yards.

Brown will likely compete with Duron Carter, whom the Colts signed from the Canadian Football League, for the No. 4 receiver spot next season. T.Y. Hilton, Andre Johnson and Donte Moncrief are expected to be the Colts' top three receivers.

Here's the list of receivers currently on the roster: Kadron Boone, Brown, Carter, Hilton, Johnson, Ryan Lankford, Josh Lenz, Moncrief, Griff Whalen.
