The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans have been the two most active teams in the AFC South this offseason, but one oddsmaker looks at the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans to continue to dominate the division next season.
The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has given the Colts and Texans 3/2 odds to win the AFC South. Indianapolis or Houston has won the division in six of the past seven seasons.
Here are the current odds to win the AFC South:
Colts: 3-2
Texans: 3-2
Jaguars: 7-2
Titans: 10-1
Here is what Westgate is predicting victory-wise for each team in the division:
Colts: 9
Texans: 8.5
Jaguars: 7
Titans: 5.5
The Jaguars signed running backs Chris Ivory and defensive lineman Malik Jackson in free agency. They also drafted defensive back Jalen Ramsey with the No. 5 overall pick and linebacker Myles Jack in the second round last week.
The Texans signed quarterback Brock Osweiler in free agency, hoping to jump-start an offense that has been lagging behind J.J. Watt and the defense. The Titans are slowly trying to add pieces like running backs DeMarco Murray, Derrick Henry and offensive tackle Jack Conklin around quarterback Marcus Mariota. Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck will be back after missing nine games because of injury last season.
The Colts have the fifth best odds (9-1) behind New England (7-2), Pittsburgh (7-2), Cincinnati (5-1) and Denver (9-1) to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl next season.
