ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Denard Robinson has met Derek Jeter. On Wednesday, he met Ric Flair. But there’s still one person who has eluded the former Michigan quarterback and current Jacksonville running back on his to-meet list in his life.

That would be former Michigan quarterback and current New England Patriots star Tom Brady.

It’s somewhat surprising, particularly because Brady and Robinson both attended Michigan’s signing-day event Wednesday in Ann Arbor, they both play in the NFL and have a connection as two of the Wolverines’ most beloved quarterbacks. But Robinson said the two have yet to meet.

So Robinson has a request – one similar to many players around the NFL who engage in swapping jerseys.

“I’ve seen him before, seen him at a game before, but I never met him before,” Robinson said after the event. “So Tom Brady, you’ve got to give him a shot, tell him I want to meet him one day.

“Maybe [get] a jersey, too. A signed jersey.”

Since Robinson has been in the NFL, the Jaguars and Patriots have only faced off once – in Week 3 of 2015, but Robinson didn’t play in that game.

Robinson, Jeter, Flair and Brady were among many athletes and other celebrities at Michigan's signing-day event Wednesday.
