For those who are fans of the preseason or otherwise just missed it in Tuesday night’s hysteria over the regular-season schedule, the Chiefs also announced their preseason slate of games.
Each of their exhibition games at Arrowhead Stadium will be played on a Friday night. The Chiefs will play at Arrowhead against the Seattle Seahawks on Aug. 21 and the Tennessee Titans on Aug. 28. Both games begin at 7 p.m. CT.
While the opponents in the preseason are usually a trivial matter, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson ignited his career and perhaps secured the starting spot during his rookie preseason of 2012 with a big game against the Chiefs at Arrowhead.
The Tennessee game is the third of the preseason, the one in which teams traditionally play their starters the most.
The Chiefs begin the preseason on Aug. 15, a Saturday, at the Arizona Cardinals at 8 p.m. CT and finish it on Sept. 3, a Thursday, against the Rams in St. Louis at 7 p.m.
All of the games will be shown live in the Kansas City area on KCTV Channel 5.
