For those with ESPN Insider access, Kevin Weidl has an article matching specific wide receivers available in the draft with teams that have a big need at the position.

Weidl likes LSU's Odell Beckham Jr. for the Chiefs with their first-round pick, No. 23 overall.

In addition, Beckham brings value as a returner on special teams, which could help soften the loss of Dexter McCluster, who was a free-agent casualty to Tennessee.''

If the Chiefs like Beckham and he's still available when they make their first pick, it would be a mistake for them to pass him up. Beckham has the potential to have the same impact as Emmanuel Sanders, the free-agent wide receiver the Chiefs thought had agreed to contract terms only to see him eventually sign with the Denver Broncos. Weidl's point on Beckham's return ability is not a small one. The Chiefs need a threat returning punts after losing McCluster.

If Beckham isn't available when the Chiefs pick in the first round or they select a player at a different position, Weidl offers a couple of wide receiver options for the Chiefs with their next pick in the third round: Robert Herron of Wyoming and Allen Robinson of Penn State. Herron is small (5-foot-9, 193 pounds) and built to play as a slot receiver. Robinson has the size (6-foot-3, 220) to be an every-down player.
