KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs promoted safety Daniel Sorensen from the practice squad to the active roster, and he could be available to play in Sunday's game against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium.
Sorensen, an undrafted rookie, was with the Chiefs for the season-opening game against the Tennessee Titans before he was released and signed to the practice squad.
To clear roster room for Sorensen, the Chiefs released defensive end Damion Square. The Chiefs claimed Square off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles shortly before the start of the regular season, but he was inactive for each of the season's seven games.
