Raiders' injury report: Tarell Brown expected to play

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Cornerback Tarell Brown's sore foot isn’t expected to keep him out of the Oakland Raiders' game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Brown has been limited in all three practices this week and was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report. But interim coach Tony Sparano on Friday echoed comments he made this week when he indicated Brown’s injury isn’t considered serious.

"He actually did a little bit more today," Sparano said.

The Raiders are already without two starters in the secondary. Cornerback Carlos Rogers and safety Tyvon Branch are both on injured reserve. Backup cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa, TJ Carrie and Neiko Thorpe have all been slowed by a variety of injuries as well.

Thorpe has been bothered by a hand injury and has also been limited in practice this week. He, like Brown, is questionable.

Here is the rest of the Raiders injury report from Friday.

Out: RT Menelik Watson (foot/ankle), TE Brian Leonhardt (concussion), S Jonathan Dowling (back).

Questionable: LB Sio Moore (hip).

Probable: RB Latavius Murray (concussion).

The Raiders are expected to make at least one roster move before Sunday’s game against the 49ers. With Mychal Rivera the only healthy tight end on the roster, Scott Simonson is likely to be signed from the team’s practice squad.

Wide receiver Rod Streater could also be activated from injured reserve.

Oakland would have to make corresponding moves if either player is added to the 53-man roster.
