Chargers sign Michael Huey, release Jeff Baca, Chas Alecxih

The San Diego Chargers swapped developmental guard prospects Tuesday, signing Arena League veteran Michael Huey and releasing Jeff Baca.

The Chargers also released defensive lineman Chas Alecxih.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Huey played at Texas. Since going undrafted in 2011, he has been to training camp at various times with Seattle and San Diego and has been on Washington's practice squad in addition to playing arena football.

Baca played in four games for the Minnesota Vikings as a rookie in 2013 before joining the Chargers last season.

Alecxih has twice spent time on the Chargers' practice squad.
