Chargers sign OL Brett Boyko

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Chargers announced on Thursday that they had signed offensive lineman Brett Boyko, a move first reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.

At 6-foot-6 and 301 pounds, Boyko spent the entire 2015 season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad after joining the team as an undrafted rookie.

The UNLV product was a two-time second-team All-Mountain West pick. Boyko will wear No. 67 for the Chargers.

San Diego now has 17 offensive linemen on the 90-man roster. To make room for Boyko, the Chargers waived tackle Zeth Ramsay.
