After dropping 48 points on the Suns Tuesday and another 40 the following night in Utah, Kobe Bryant ran his career total of 40-point games to 109. That's good for third all-time, behind Wilt Chamberlain (271, which is kind of absurd) and Michael Jordan (173).
109 means over 16 seasons, Bryant has gone for 40 or more in a hair under 10 percent of his games. That's some serious production, made even more impressive when you consider he didn't notch his first until December 1, 2000, 17 games into his fifth season.
