LOS ANGELES -- Nick Young's shooting struggles continued Friday, with the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard hitting only 2 of 13 field goal attempts in his team's 101-84 win against the Orlando Magic at Staples Center.
Young is shooting 13-of-53 in his past four games.
"I need some love," he told reporters after the game. "I need y'all to hug me after this."
Lakers coach Byron Scott says he thinks Young needs something else.
"The one thing he should do is come in a little bit early and get shots up," Scott said.
Has he shown a willingness to do that?
"I don't know," Scott said. "I haven't seen that part. The extra work, I haven't seen that part from him yet. Maybe this will help him."
Young didn't exactly agree.
"It's not about that. I've been in the gym getting shots up," Young said. "It's going to come. I'm not really too worried about it. I'm going to stick to my same routine, get some shots up early [Saturday]. Once I see a couple go in the hole, I'll be all right."
