Andrew Bynum leaves Friday night's game with strained left Achilles tendon

The headline really sums things up...

Andrew Bynum went to the locker room with a strained left Achilles tendon at the 10:09 mark of the third quarter in Friday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples. He won't return tonight and will be re-evaluated Saturday.

Obviously we'll have whatever additional news is available after the game, but given Bynum's injury history, anything with the potential to keep him on the sidelines is worrisome. Living with Bynum is somewhat akin to living in an earthquake zone. Generally things are fine, but there's always concern the big one is around the corner.

Hopefully this is just a little tremor that shakes the good china and freaks out the dog but does no real damage.

The Wolves went on a quick 13-3 run following Bynum's departure, but the Lakers eventually restored order and build their lead back to 10 by the end of the third.
