Cornerback Sheldon Price dislocated his right index finger while breaking up a pass during drills and left practice to receive treatment Monday afternoon.
Price, a sophomore from Bishop Amat High is expected to start at the right corner. He reached around receiver Randall Carroll during a drill then screamed in pain and immediately ran to a trainer on the sideline. Coach Rick Neuheisel said he wasn't aware of the injury, but said it probably wouldn't keep Price out long since he's a defensive back.
"The good news is he can play in a cast," Neuheisel said.
Quarterback Kevin Prince was limited again Monday afternoon. Prince, battling a strained oblique, ran on the sidelines during practice and did not run any plays with the offense. Kicker Kai Forbath, sidelined since the beginning of camp with a strained groin, kicked two field goals in the Fall scrimmage Saturday, but was sidelined again Monday with what Neuheisel called "a bruised groin."
