Kevin Prince to have surgery

Kevin Prince will have exploratory arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Saturday and his return this season is uncertain, a UCLA spokesman said right before the Bruins faced the Ducks Thursday night.

Prince originally injured the knee Sept. 25 against Texas and sat out the following week, but returned and played against California on Oct. 9. He had two MRIs on his knee this week and both were inconclusive, thus surgery was recommended.

The length of recovery will depend on the results of the scope.

Prince is with the team in Oregon, but is not dressing for the game. Backup Richard Brehaut will start.
