Dolphins practice report: Daryn Colledge out

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins (4-3) began their practice week Tuesday in preparation for the San Diego Chargers (5-3).

Here are some practice notes for Miami:

  • Dolphins starting guard Daryn Colledge sat out of practice Tuesday during the portion open to the media. Colledge had migraine headaches in the first quarter of Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and didn’t return. Miami has two options to replace Colledge at left guard: Dallas Thomas and Nate Garner.

  • Miami received some good injury news with the return of starting middle linebacker Koa Misi, who missed Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. Misi practicing early in the week is a good sign that he's on pace to return against the San Diego Chargers. Misi adds physicality in the middle of Miami's defense.

  • Dolphins backup safety Jimmy Wilson also practiced after missing last week’s game with a hamstring injury. Backup defensive backs Michael Thomas and Jamar Taylor filled in for Wilson in the nickel.
