Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Sunday from around the Web:

  • Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post writes Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake is ready for another big season.

Morning take: The Pro Bowler had 11.5 sacks last season. With the addition of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, Wake should improve those numbers if he stays healthy.

  • Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald writes Dolphins second-year wide receiver Jarvis Landry wants to be great.

Morning take: Landry is serious about his craft and looking to build off last season where he led the team with 84 receptions. He has good chemistry with quarterback Ryan Tannehill and shouldn’t suffer a sophomore slump.

  • ESPN.com New York Jets reporter Rich Cimini writes the Jets have interest in free-agent guard Evan Mathis.

Morning take: This isn’t good news for Miami, which also has its eye on Mathis. It’s just a matter of time before the Pro Bowl guard gets signed, and if the Dolphins don’t want him, it is best for Miami to keep Mathis out of the division.
