DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins, as expected, placed starting safety Louis Delmas on injured reserve Tuesday. He will miss the entire 2015 season.
Delmas tore his ACL in his right knee last week during a joint practice against the Carolina Panthers. Delmas tore the same ligament in his right knee last December, which ended his 2014 season.
Dolphins backups Walt Aikens and Michael Thomas are competing to replace Delmas in the starting lineup. Delmas also will be an unrestricted free agent next season.
