Dolphins Pro Bowl C Mike Pouncey expected to miss second straight game

DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey is listed as doubtful and likely will sit out his second consecutive game with a foot injury Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Pouncey missed the entire week of practice, which is a strong indicator that he will not play. Dolphins rookie offensive lineman Jamil Douglas is expected to get his second career start at center. Last week, Douglas had an early snap on Miami’s final offensive play that helped lead to an 18-12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Miami also is expected to be without starting outside linebacker Jelani Jenkins, who is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury. The Dolphins (5-10) will be sizable underdogs against the Patriots (12-3), who are still playing for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Here is the final Week 17 injury report for Miami:

Doubtful: C Mike Pouncey (foot), LB Jelani Jenkins (ankle)

Questionable: DT Earl Mitchell (calf), WR Rishard Matthews (chest, ribs), RT Ja'Wuan James (toe), G Jamil Douglas (ankle), WR Kenny Stills (thigh)

Probable: WR Jarvis Landry (knee), G Billy Turner (calf), QB Ryan Tannehill (thigh, knee)
