Will Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan make the 53-man roster?

The Miami Dolphins made a lot of personnel changes following last year’s 6-10 season and the hire of new head coach Adam Gase. Therefore, every player has a clean slate and must prove themselves this summer in training camp.

This week ESPN.com’s Dolphins page takes a look at several players on the roster bubble. Next is a suspended player seeking reinstatement.

Bubble player: DE Dion Jordan

2015 stats: N/A due to suspension

Analysis: It’s been a rough career for Jordan, who came to Miami with high expectations after being taken No. 3 overall in 2013. But multiple league violations caused Jordan to miss a full season in 2015. Jordan is applying for reinstatement this summer, but that is only half the battle. The Dolphins, under a new coaching staff, have no attachment to the defensive end if he's reinstated. Jordan is more like just another player battling for a roster spot as oppose to a former first-round pick. The Dolphins already have plenty of depth on the defensive line. Jordan must prove he is in shape and still has the physical ability that made him a top selection. Jordan also played special teams two years ago, which could help his standing.
