Dolphins still not top 10 in ESPN's NFL Power Rankings

It has been a theme most of this season for the Miami Dolphins. Despite a 7-4 record and a six-game winning streak, the Dolphins do not get much respect in ESPN’s NFL Power Rankings.

The Dolphins dropped one spot this week to No. 12 after beating the San Francisco 49ers, 31-24, on Sunday. The win puts Miami in possession of the final wild-card spot in the AFC, and the team hasn’t lost in nearly two months (Oct. 9).

However, the win against the lowly 49ers (1-10), who have lost 10 straight, wasn’t impressive according to ESPN’s voting panel. Miami nearly blew a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter before stopping San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick on the final drive at the end of regulation.

Opportunity knocks for Miami this week to move up the rankings. The Dolphins will travel to play the Baltimore Ravens (6-5) in a game with major playoff implications. Miami could silence plenty of doubters with another quality road win.
