EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- As the Minnesota Vikings got back to work on Monday following their bye week, they were still without their top two receivers during a short practice.
Mike Wallace, who is day-to-day with a sore knee, did not practice on Monday, and Charles Johnson did some rehab work on the side as he tries to return from a rib injury before Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Vikings are hopeful they'll have both against the Chiefs, but they aren't required to release an injury report until Wednesday, so we won't have a full idea of the prognosis for either receiver until later this week.
Safety Andrew Sendejo, who missed the Vikings' last game against the Denver Broncos with a knee injury, was doing rehab work with Johnson. So was center John Sullivan, who can start practicing next week as part of his return from the short-term injured reserve after back surgery.
Defensive end Justin Trattou was still out with the foot injury that left him inactive against Denver.
