Linval Joseph inactive for Vikings against Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- As the Minnesota Vikings try to keep Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy from his fifth consecutive 100-yard game against them, they officially won't have nose tackle Linval Joseph.

Joseph is inactive for Sunday night's NFC North title game at Lambeau Field with the foot injury that's now caused him to miss three of the Vikings' last four games. He played 65 snaps last Sunday against the New York Giants, but didn't practice all week and was listed as doubtful on Friday.

With Joseph out, Sharrif Floyd will once again start at nose tackle and Tom Johnson will be at three-technique tackle. Kenrick Ellis also figures to see some playing time, as the Vikings try to keep Lacy from providing a powerful counterpart to Aaron Rodgers.

Vikings receiver Charles Johnson is again a healthy scratch for Sunday night's game, meaning he will end the regular season having played just seven snaps in the Vikings' final five games. Johnson went from being the team's starting split end at the beginning of the year to a non-factor in the offense, and it's worth wondering whether he'll be back next season.
