Astros by the numbers: Leading the AL West

The Houston Astros send Samuel Deduno (0-0, 2.89 ERA) to the mound to start against Roenis Elias (0-0, 3.18 ERA) and the Seattle Mariners on Friday. Deduno will make his first start of the season for Houston after spending the first month in the bullpen.

The first place Astros have a four-game lead in the AL West. Houston’s 15-7 record marks the latest the team has been in first place in a season since May 22, 2004, when they led the NL Central at 24-18.
