Second baseman Brian Dozier's monster season for the Minnesota Twins could land him a spot on Team USA for the World Baseball Classic next spring.

Rumor Central

"Indications are that Team USA is looking at Dozier, who has been on a power binge over the past three months to contend for the major league home run crown," reports La Velle E. Neal III of the Star Tribune. "Jason Kipnis, Dustin Pedroia and Ian Kinsler also are having seasons worthy of inclusion. Team USA likely would take two from that group."

Dozier has hit 41 homers, the most by a Twins player since Harmon Killebrew in 1970, and extended his hitting streak to 22 games in Sunday’s loss to the New York Mets
