Tuesday's Magic Links: Hezonja will get stronger in the offseason

Undermanned Magic beat Bucks 107-98 in home finale: On one hand, the Orlando Magic's 107-98 victory in their home finale Monday night over the Milwaukee Bucks means nothing. The Magic were eliminated from the playoff chase two weeks earlier. You can make a convincing argument that all subsequent wins are just window dressing to a disappointing season. -- Orlando Sentinel

Nikola Vucevic sits out Magic's home finale: Already without Aaron Gordon and Victor Oladipo while they recover from concussions, the Orlando Magic played their home finale Monday night against the Milwaukee Bucks without leading scorer and rebounder Nikola Vucevic. Team officials said Vucevic has a sore right leg, including a contusion and some soreness from the groin strain that kept him out of 13 games last month. -- Orlando Sentinel

Postgame Report: Magic vs Bucks: Quite often, progress during rebuilding phases can be measured not in leaps and bounds, but instead in baby steps. While the Orlando Magic didn’t make enough progress this season to get back in the playoff hunt, they did turn the Amway Center into a place where they consistently played some of their best basketball. Again, baby steps, but still steps forward. -- Magic.com

Mario Hezonja Plans to Add Strength This Offseason: Now that he has the blueprint of his rookie NBA season, Mario Hezonja knows better what he has to work on so that he can come back next season a vastly improved player. Hezonja, the No. 5 pick in last June’s NBA Draft, was brought along slowly this season because the Magic have a bevy of young players all fighting for minutes at the shooting guard and small forward positions. -- Magic.com
