The Portland Trail Blazers took Arizona's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson with the 23rd overall pick, but later sent him to the Brooklyn Nets for Mason Plumlee and rights to the 41st overall pick, Notre Dame small forward Pat Connaughton.

Plumlee was the 22nd overall pick in the 2013 draft and averaged 8.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per game during his two seasons with the Nets.

Connaughton averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in his four-year career with the Fighting Irish. He was Chad Ford's 53rd-ranked prospect.

Ford's analysis: "He's a very good shooter, great athlete and very tough."

Along with Hollis-Jefferson, also going to the Nets in the trade will be Blazers guard Steve Blake.

The Blazers later acquired the 54th overall pick, Spanish small forward Daniel Diez, from the Utah Jazz in return for cash considerations. Diez, who stands 6-foot-9 and weighs 220 pounds, is a great shooter who lacks athleticism.

Ford's analysis: "Another draft-and-stash though he really wants to come now."
