Eric Gordon has spent the offseason working out as he prepares for the first training camp under new head coach Alvin Gentry. Gordon wants to make sure he stays injury-free and part of that plan includes losing weight. From John Reid of The Times-Picayune:
- "By October, Gordon will be aiming to emerge in Gentry's system when training camp opens. Gordon said he is already eagerly anticipating for the season to start. To get prepared, Gordon said he has lost 10 pounds since last season and he appears to look fit. 'I think the style of play is really going to mesh well with us,' Gordon said. 'We're going to play at a very fast pace and I think that's going to take advantage of all our skills.' Last month, Gordon opted in to play-out the final year of his contract that is set to pay him $15.5 million upcoming season instead of pursuing free agency.Gentry has big plans for Gordon because of his ability to score on the perimeter. ... In his first three seasons, Gordon missed 115 games due to various injuries. But for the second-straight season, Gordon played more than 60 games."
