Bucks' Gutierrez, Mexico are one win from long-awaited Olympic return

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Jorge Gutierrez scored 23 points to help Mexico beat Argentina 95-83 in Wednesday's close of group play in the FIBA Americas Olympic qualifying tournament in Mexico.

The host team has qualified for Friday's semifinals, in which the winners will earn berths in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Mexico and Argentina will meet again then while the other semifinal will feature Canada and Venezuela.

Gutierrez played 10 games for the Bucks last season after joining the team in late January on the first of two 10-day contracts, averaging 13.1 minutes and 3.7 points. He signed a multi-year contract with Milwaukee in April.
