Report: Griz have no room for Harrison

The Memphis Grizzlies selected Kentucky guard Andrew Harrison with the No. 44 pick in the 2015 NBA draft via trade with the Phoenix Suns. While the Grizzlies view Harrison as a good prospect, they don't have any room on their roster to begin the season. From Ronald Tillery of The Commercial-Appeal:

"The Griz signed centers Ryan Hollins and Michael Holyfield, and guards Yakhouba Diawara, Lazeric Jones and Daniel Nwaelele to non-guaranteed training camp deals. Memphis has the NBA-maximum 20 players for camp, but the list doesn't include second-round draft pick Andrew Harrison. Harrison became expendable after Russ Smith earned a guaranteed contract by leading the Grizzlies to the Orlando summer league championship in July."

With Harrison not taking his second round tender from the Grizzlies, he will probably spend 2015-16 in the D-League playing for Memphis' team, the Iowa Energy.
