UConn's fake FG fails, badly (1:06)

Connecticut runs a fake field goal play against Missouri, with Tim Boyle throwing a pass into triple coverage that is intercepted by Anthony Sherrils and returned for 50 yards. (1:06)

UConn had an opportunity to upset Missouri on Saturday in Columbia, and after a two-win season in 2014, few could have seen that coming.

What happened next was even more unusual. After surrendering a halftime lead and trailing by three, the Huskies were driving with time winding down. UConn sent the field goal unit onto the field at the Missouri 31-yard line following a timeout.

Holder and quarterback Tim Boyle lobbed a pass intended for tight end Alec Bloom that was intercepted by Anthony Sherrils. It may go down as one of the worst fake field goal attempts ever.
