College GameDay headed to Ann Arbor for Michigan-Michigan State

ESPN’s College GameDay crew will head to Ann Arbor on Oct. 17, where Michigan will host No. 4 Michigan State in a game that will help determine the Big Ten East race.

Michigan has won five straight games under first-year coach Jim Harbaugh and has been one of the biggest surprises of the season, with its lone loss coming in the season opener to Utah. The Wolverines’ defense earned its third straight shutout on Saturday with a 38-0 win over No. 13 Northwestern. Michigan has allowed only 14 points since losing to Utah, and has outscored its opponents 97-0 in its past three games.

Harbaugh has the Wolverines ahead of schedule, but Ohio State and Michigan State have been the Big Ten’s highest-ranked teams in the Associated Press poll. All three are in the Big Ten’s East Division.
