Another series of tough choices, but it was good to throw the stickers around to some deserving teams and players this week.

Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones: Broke the school record and tied the national freshman single-game record with six touchdown passes to spark the Sooners’ 45-0 shellacking of Tulsa. Jones completed 25 of 37 passes for a career-high 336 yards in his second start since replacing Sam Bradford.

Texas A&M wide receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu: The freshman, known as "Easy" by his teammates, touched the ball four times in the Aggies’ 38-30 victory over Utah State and scored four touchdowns. Nwachukwu scored on a 39-yard reverse and added touchdown grabs of 35, 16 and 50 yards as he accounted for a team-leading 101 receiving yards on his receptions.

Texas wide receiver Jordan Shipley: The veteran Shipley produced a game-high total of 11 receptions for 73 yards and added a 46-yard punt return for a touchdown that helped jump-start the Longhorns’ 34-24 triumph over Texas Tech.

The Colorado defense: Yes, this is the same unit that was gashed for 1,000 yards and 77 points in its first two games. The Buffaloes answered their critics with their first shutout in two seasons in a 24-0 victory over Wyoming. In the process, the Cowboys were limited to 230 yards as the Buffaloes racked up four sacks, seven tackles for loss and six passes defensed. And making it even sweeter, it came against Wyoming coach Dave Christensen, who has blistered the Buffaloes for 113 points in the last two seasons when he served as Missouri's offensive coordinator.

Iowa State running back Alexander Robinson: His tough ground effort was one of the biggest reasons the Cyclones notched a 34-14 victory over Kent State, snapping a nation-worst 17-game losing streak. Robinson rushed for 143 yards on 23 carries and scored a touchdown. It was his second-straight 100-yard game and the fifth of his career.
